Ibashi-I

Megan’s original street performer oil pastel on burlap artwork, Ibashi-I, features the live performance finale of the popular busker contortionist on the famous Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, Colorado.

I enjoy watching Ibashi-I perform his “man-in-the-box” on Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall as he twists and folds his body to eventually fit inside a 20″ x 20″ x 20″ plexiglass cube. Ibashi has fun entertaining the crowds with his humor during his performances.

I’ve drawn this piece with oil pastels on coffee bag burlap that I hand stretch on a professional wood canvas. The art is 20″ W x20″ H inches – matching the dimensions of Ibashi-I’s plexiglass cube. The artwork is symbolically framed within a ‘tight’ beetle kill pine shadow crate reflective of Ibashi-I’s grande finale.
