Caffé Italiano (SOLD)

Megan’s original classic Schwinn oil pastel on burlap artwork, Caffe Italiano, features an heirloom Schwinn Corvette bicycle leaning against the wall of an Italian cafe near beautiful red rose bushes creating a beautiful presentation of Megan’s favorite elements: bicycles, flowers and coffee. Caffe Italiano was one of the first highly detailed oil pastel on burlap original artworks with the Coffee Art Print by Megan Morgan collection. The burley and tactile burlap canvas creates a juxtaposition to the warm transluscent reflections of the window glass created within the blended oil pastel layering. Oil pastels create the multicolored reflections from the Schwinn Corvette’s sparking chrome and shiny stainless steel fenders against the stark black frame.

Megan discovered the inviting warm lighting by chance while visiting Zucca Italian Restaurante in old town Louisville, Colorado. The warm reflections of the natural stucco exterior and classic window panes screamed to Megan while our heirloom Schwinn Corvette waited patiently against the wall.

Megan’s Caffe Italiano oil pastel on burlap fine artwork sold to a private collector July 2017.
