Pearl Street Bicycle (SOLD)

Megan’s original vintage ladies bicycle oil pastel on burlap artwork, Pearl Street Bicycle, features a beautifully restored vintage bicycle discovered by chance while walking along the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, Colorado late November 2012. Megan had just started to create artworks with the Coffee Art Print by Megan Morgan series combining antique bicycle, flowers and coffee bag graphic elements Summer 2012 – creating an interesting twist of fates as the vintage bicycle popped from a background of common Boulder bicycles.

This restored vintage bicycle was leaning against a patio dining fence while the owner and her husband ate brunch nearby. The bicycle displayed a single small yellow sunflower within an small antique accessory glass vase attached to the handlebar. The owner had also hand painted flower blooms along the black frame tubes. A quick photograph with our iPhone created the natural pose for the vintage ladies bicycle including the single yellow sunflower bloom.
