While displaying my original artwork at the 2015 Fall Fest on Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall, a local string band performed just outside my tent.  I felt the sounds of their music matched the colors and personal of my artwork.  I instantly fell in love with their song, “But I Do”; I was inspired to incorporate the lyrics within the background of Damn Fine String Band.  Their lyric reflects the feelings I experience when I am inspired to create a new piece – the gut feeling when something stops your heart and moves you.
