KNOTS is an artwork that combines burlap fibers and paint on a wood canvas, creating a textured, three-dimensional piece. The knots and weavings in the burlap represent the complex connections in life, with each loop symbolizing a relationship, challenge, or triumph. This artwork prompts viewers to think about the ties that hold communities together, showing the beauty and strength in unity. The intertwined fibers reflect the resilience and support we find in our social networks. “Knots” inspires gratitude for the people and experiences that shape our lives, reminding us that even in tangled moments, there is order and purpose, highlighting our interconnectedness. By repurposing materials like burlap and leftover latex paint, I strive to make a positive impact on the environment. Although the amount I use is small, each drop of paint that I save from ending up in a landfill contributes to a healthier planet.
